What does "Brahmasri" mean when Chaganti Garu is referred to as Brahmasri chaganti? “Brahmasri” is a complementary title given to those with “Brahma Gnaana”. The suffix Sri indicates wealth ( “Sri” i is an epithet of Goddess Lakshmi- in this case, Vidya lakshmi). So Brahma Sri means someone possessing all knowledge about “Brahman” or all vedic knowledge. Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao garu is a highly evolved, highly learned person in Vedic knowledge and has unselfishly educated millions of people through his philosophical discourses, lectures, books etc without expecting any reward! His eloquence and clarity in presentations is really unparalleled. His memory is supreme. This is possible only with the grace of God and immense sadhana. This makes him a person who knows everything there is to know. This is called “Brahma gnana’. Therefore he is addressed with the prefix, “Brahma Sri”
