ശ്രീ ആദിശങ്കരന്റെ ശ്ലോകങ്ങളും സ്തോത്രങ്ങളും - സംസ്കൃതത്തിൽ, ഇംഗ്ലീഷിൽ തത്തുല്യമായ സ്വരസൂചകത്തോടെ, അവയുടെ വിവർത്തനത്തോടൊപ്പം - VOICE OF SANKARA. ഭവാനി ഭുജംഗ സ്തോത്രം ബോധത്തിന്റെയും ആനന്ദത്തിന്റെയും അവതാരമായ അമൃതത്തിന്റെ ആ രൂപത്തെ ഞാൻ നമിക്കുന്നു. അത് ചന്ദ്രന്റെ ഗോളത്തെ ഉരുക്കി (ചന്ദ്രപ്രകാശം) കുടിക്കുന്നു. ദാസ ശ്ലോകി ഭൂമിയോ, വെള്ളമോ, അഗ്നിയോ, വായുവോ, ആകാശമോ, ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങളോ, അവയുടെ സമാഹാരമോ (ഞാൻ) അല്ല, കാരണം അവ അസ്ഥിരമാണ്. ഉറക്കത്തിൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായത്, (മറ്റെല്ലാം കീഴടക്കിയതിനുശേഷം) നിലനിൽക്കുന്നത് - ആ ശുഭകരമായ കേവല (ഞാൻ) ഞാൻ തന്നെ. ധാന്യാഷ്ടകം ഇന്ദ്രിയങ്ങൾക്ക് ശാന്തത നൽകുന്ന ജ്ഞാനം അതു മാത്രമാണ്. ഉപനിയുദ്‌ധങ്ങളിൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രാധാന്യം അറിയേണ്ടതു അതു മാത്രമാണ്. ഗണേശ പഞ്ച രത്ന സ്തോത്രം വേദങ്ങളിൽ ബ്രഹ്മം എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഏകമായ ആ പരമാത്മാവ് നമ്മുടെ കഴിവുകൾക്ക് അതീതമാണ്. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, അത് നമ്മുടെ ഗ്രഹണപ്രാപ്തിയിൽ വരുന്നു, നാം അതിൽ നിക്ഷേപിക്കാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന ഏത് രൂപത്തിലും രൂപത്തിലും സ്വഭാവത്തിലും അത് സമഗ്രമാണ്. അതിനാൽ ഒരു ഭക്തൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്ന ഏത് രൂപത്തിലും ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു, അവൻ ഇപ്പോഴും ഹിന്ദുമതത്തിൽ തന്നെയാണെന്ന് കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. ഗൗരീദശകം പ്രപഞ്ചത്തിന്റെ സൃഷ്ടി, നിലനിൽപ്പ്, ലയനം എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് കാരണമാകുന്ന പരമാത്മാവിന്റെ ഗതികോർജ്ജമാണ് ദേവി. എല്ലാ ദേവി സ്തോത്രങ്ങളിലും ഇത് വ്യക്തമാണ്. ഗുരുവാഷ്ടകം ഒരാളുടെ ശരീരം സുന്ദരിയായിരിക്കാം, ഭാര്യ സുന്ദരിയായിരിക്കാം, പ്രശസ്തിയുണ്ടാകാം, മികച്ചതും വൈവിധ്യപൂർണ്ണവുമാകാം, മേരു പർവതം പോലെ സമ്പത്തുണ്ടാകാം; എന്നാൽ ഒരാളുടെ മനസ്സ് ഗുരുവിന്റെ പാദങ്ങളിൽ പറ്റിപ്പിടിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിൽ, അവിടെ നിന്ന് എന്ത്, അവിടെ നിന്ന് എന്ത്, എപ്പോൾ, അവിടെ നിന്ന് എന്ത്? പ്രാതഃ സമരണ സ്തോത്രം വ്യക്തിയുടെ മനസ്സ് (മനസ്സ്), വാക്ക് (വാക്ക്), ശരീരം (കായം) എന്നിവ പരമാത്മാവിന് സമർപ്പിക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന മൂന്ന് ശ്ലോകങ്ങൾ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്ന ഒരു പ്രാർത്ഥനയാണിത്. ദൈനംദിന ജീവിതത്തിലെ ആദ്യ ചിന്തകൾ, വാക്കുകൾ, പ്രവൃത്തികൾ എന്നിവ വ്യക്തിയുടെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ വലിയ സ്വാധീനം ചെലുത്തുന്നു. ശിവപ്രദ ക്ഷാമപാന സ്തോത്രം ശ്രീ അന്നപൂർണ്ണ സ്തോത്രം ഓ! അന്നപൂർണ്ണ മാതാവേ, കാരുണ്യത്തിന്റെ പിന്തുണ നൽകുന്നവളേ, ശാശ്വതമായ സന്തോഷം നൽകുന്നവളേ, ദാനങ്ങളുടെയും സംരക്ഷണത്തിന്റെയും ദാതാവേ, സൗന്ദര്യത്തിന്റെ സമുദ്രമേ, എല്ലാ പാപങ്ങളുടെയും നാശകനേയും ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നവളേ, മഹാദേവീ, ഹിമവന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിന്റെ ശുദ്ധീകരണകാരിയേ, കാശിയുടെ മഹാദേവനേ, (നീ) ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ദാനം നൽകണമേ. ശ്രീമദ് അച്യുതാഷ്ടകം ഓ, അചഞ്ചലനായ ഭഗവാനേ, അചഞ്ചലനായ ആത്മാവേ, ഹരി, പരമാത്മാവേ, സുന്ദരനായ ശ്രീരാമനേ, കടും നീല നിറമുള്ള കൃഷ്ണനേ, ഉത്തമനായ പുരുഷനേ, സർവ്വവ്യാപിയായ ദൈവമേ, എല്ലാവരെയും ആവരണം ചെയ്ത് എല്ലാത്തിലും വസിക്കുന്നവനേ, ആറ് അടിസ്ഥാന ഗുണങ്ങളുള്ള ഭഗവാനേ, തടസ്സമില്ലാത്തതും തടസ്സമില്ലാത്തതുമായ ഭഗവനേ, ശ്രീ ദേവിയുടെ നാഥനേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ എല്ലാ കഷ്ടപ്പാടുകളും വേദനകളും നീ ഒഴിവാക്കണമേ. തോടകാഷ്ടകം ശങ്കരന്റെ പ്രധാന ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ഒരാൾ ഗുരുവിനെ സ്തുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഒരു അഷ്ടകാഡ് ശ്ലോകം രചിച്ചു. ഈ രചനയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ചതുരം ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ളതും എന്നാൽ മനോഹരവുമായ തോടകമാണ്. അതിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് തോടകാചാര്യർ എന്ന പേര് ലഭിച്ചു... ഉമാമഹേശ്വരി സ്തോത്രം ഈ സ്തുതിഗീതം ഉമയുടെ അവിഭാജ്യ സഖാവും തന്റെ ഉക്തിയെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഭഗവാൻ മഹേശ്വരന് സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങളിലെ അർദ്ധ പുരുഷ സ്ത്രീ അർദ്ധനാരീശ്വരനിൽ ശക്തിമാനും ശക്തിമാനും തമ്മിലുള്ള വ്യത്യാസത്തിന് ഒരു നരവംശരൂപം നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഉപദേശ പഞ്ചകം വേദം ദിവസവും പഠിക്കുക; അതിൽ നിർദ്ദേശിക്കപ്പെട്ട കർമ്മം ശരിയായി ചെയ്യുക; ആ പ്രവൃത്തിയിലൂടെ ഭഗവാനെ ആരാധിക്കുക; (ഫലത്തിനായുള്ള) ആഗ്രഹത്തോടെ ഒരു പ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്യുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ചിന്ത ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുക; പാപകർമ്മങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തെ ഒഴിവാക്കുക; ലൗകിക സുഖത്തിലെ പോരായ്മ (മാനസികമായി) പരിഗണിക്കുക; ആത്മാവിന്റെ (ആത്മജ്ഞാനത്തിനായുള്ള) ആഗ്രഹത്തിനായി പരിശ്രമിക്കുക; താമസിയാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് പുറത്തുകടക്കുക. അനാത്മ ശ്രീ വിഗർഹണം- അനാത്മശ്രീവിഗർഹണം ഈ പ്രകരണം (എല്ലാ സമ്പാദനങ്ങളുടെയും മായയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഭാഗം) പതിനെട്ട് ശ്ലോകങ്ങൾ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളുന്നു, അതിൽ അവസാനത്തെ രണ്ടെണ്ണം അതിൽ പ്രാവീണ്യം നേടുന്നതിന്റെയും ചിന്തിക്കുന്നതിന്റെയും ഫലത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പ്രതിപാദിക്കുന്നു. ഈ ശൈലി വാചനയിൽ ലളിതവും ആശയങ്ങളിൽ ഉദാത്തവുമാണ്, കൂടാതെ ശ്രീ ശങ്കരന്റെ മോഹമുദ്ഗരത്തിന്റെ ശൈലിയുമായി നന്നായി യോജിക്കുന്നു. ഭജ ഗോവിന്ദം ഹേ മൂഢാ, ഭഗവാനെ ആരാധിക്കുക, ഭഗവാനെ ആരാധിക്കുക, ഭഗവാനെ ആരാധിക്കുക! Jivanmuktananda Lahari Seeing, like pictures, the people of the city consisting of men and young women of different forms clad in attractive dress and decked with ornaments of gold, Realising that he is actually seeing them and mixing merrily with them. Kanakadhara Stotra May the sportive glances of the auspicious goddess (Lakshmi), which, as the she-bee would rest on a TamAla tree adorned with buds, resort to the body of Lord Hari who has the horripilation as the ornament and which have all the riches, be the bestowers of auspiciousness unto me. Lakshminarasimha Pancha Ratnam If you wish to earn the affection of your master then always worship the man-lion (form of the lord). Pandurangashtaka This hymn in nine verses in the Bhujangaprayata metre in on paiauranga, the form of Vishnu in the shrine at Pandaripura (modern Pandarpur) in the Maharashtra State. There is an interesting anecdote relating to this deity and to a devotee of that deity, namely, Pundarika. Shatpadi Stotram Oh Lord Vishnu! Drive away (my) immodesty, quell (my) mind and dispel the mirage of objects of worldly pleasure. Spread out compassion (in me) for all beings. Make me cross the ocean of worldly existence (to the shore, viz. mokua) (1) Sri Meenakshi Pancharatnam I remain ever bowing to that (goddess) Minakui, an ocean of compassion, who is radiant like the multitudes of rising Suns, and is resplendent with the bracelet and necklace and is having reddish lips (like the bimba fruit), with shining rows of smiling teeth, and decorated with silk garments, and is having the feet worshipped by the gods Vishnu, Brahma and Indra and is of the form of the reality and is auspicious. Subramanya Bhujanga Stotra May Ganesa who, though always a child, can destroy the mountain of obstacles, who though having the face of an elephant is worshipped by lions (or by Siva with five faces), who is sought after by Brahama, Indra, and others, who is auspicious, and whose greatness is immeasurable, bless me with prosperity.
