अयं निजः परो वेति गणना लघु चेतसाम् |
Ayam nijam paro veti ganana laghu chetasam,

उदारचरितानां तु वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् |
Udar charitanam tu vasudhaiv kutumbakam.

Meaning

For narrow minded people things belong to him or others, But a person with a broad mind does not differentiate ... For him the universe is a big family so everybody belongs to one family where
Everything is shared.

चन्दनं शीतलं लोके ,चन्दनादपि चन्द्रमाः |
Chandanam sheetalam loke, chandanadapi chandramaha,

चन्द्रचन्दनयोर्मध्ये शीतला साधुसंगतिः ||
Chandrachandanayormadhye sheetala sadhu sangatihi.

Meaning
Sandalwood is considered to be coolest in the world, but the moon is still cooler. But a good company of a true is much much cooler than the both.... it gives more pleasure . 

 बलवानप्यशक्तोऽसौ धनवानपि निर्धनः |

Balavanapyashaktoasou dhavanapi nirdhanah,

श्रुतवानपि मूर्खोऽसौ यो धर्मविमुखो जनः ||
Shrutavanapi murkhasou yo dharmavimukho janah..

Meaning
A person not disciplined or dutiful is weak even though strong , poor even though owns riches and unwise even though Educated. 

 जाड्यं धियो हरति सिंचति वाचि सत्यं ,

Jaddyam dhiyo harati sinchati vachi satyam,

मानोन्नतिं दिशति पापमपाकरोति |
Manonnatim dishati paapamakaroti.

चेतः प्रसादयति दिक्षु तनोति कीर्तिं ,
Chetah prasaadayati dikshu tanoti kirtim,

सत्संगतिः कथय किं न करोति पुंसाम् ||
Satsangatihi kathay kim na karoti pusam.

Meaning
Good friends make you wise, honest, make one respectable and keeps one away from sins. Makes happy and famous too. So a good company gives a man everything in life that he could ask.
